Ankit Kumar

I'm Ankit Kumar, a blogger and creator. I like SEO and building helpful tools and websites, and MyCurrentElevation.org is one of them: a quick way to find out how high above sea level you are, plus the calculators and place pages that use that number.

I also like travelling, which is where questions about elevation tend to come up: how high a town is, how long water takes to boil there, or how thin the air will feel.

On this site

• US elevation by state (50 states, 86 cities)
• Mountain elevations (58 peaks)
• World capital elevations (23)
• Elevation guides

The place pages are generated from public U.S. government and open datasets; the methodology page explains how each number is made, and the About page says how to report a correction.
